Entropy Wishlist & Launch-Week Checklist

Entropy’s Steam Early Access date is August 18, 2026—about a week out from mid-August updates on this wiki. Use this checklist so launch night is about Gloaming Isles towns, not hunting drivers or realizing you never installed the demo.

Day −7 to −5: store and hardware

  1. Wishlist the full game (app 3940340) for price and unlock alerts.
  2. Install the Entropy Demo on Steam if you have not.
  3. Verify System Requirements: Windows 10, about 4 GB RAM minimum, 2 GB storage, DirectX 10-era GPU floor.
  4. Update GPU drivers and free SSD space beyond the 2 GB label.

Cross-check the calendar on Release Date and the structural plan on Act Structure.

Day −4 to −2: systems rehearsal

Play a focused demo loop:

If ghosts ignore steel, finish Soul Moss and Soul Garden once so local-rule dungeons do not brick your first EA evening.

Day −1: money and expectations

Launch day habits

  1. Confirm Steam is updated before midnight in your region.
  2. Start with a small company core—do not hire six expensive mercs in hour one.
  3. Abort unreadable fights; Survive Permadeath beats sunk-cost dungeon greed.
  4. After the first patch week, recalibrate Weapons Tier List notes.

What Act 1 is not

Act 1 is not the finished three-act campaign. Act 3’s final slice is reserved for 1.0. Mentally budget unfinished arcs and rising prices—see Act Structure.

Packing list (print-friendly)

  • Wishlist
  • Demo installed
  • Specs verified
  • Combat verbs practiced
  • Gold buffer plan
  • Discord/Steam feedback bookmarked
  • Personal formation note in Party Formation

Launch week rewards players who rehearsed. Treat this checklist as a short campaign before the real expedition.

Hour-by-hour launch night script

T-60 minutes: Steam update, close overlays, confirm SSD free space, open this checklist beside System Requirements.

T-0: Install Act 1 build, skip cosmetics shopping, form a four-person core with one reserve hire slot funded.

First two hours: Clear a town errand, one dungeon wing, then stop to bank gold. Do not push a third wing tired.

End of night: Post one useful bug or balance note on Discord Community if something truly broke—not if you simply wiped.

Mental model for unfinished stories

Act 1 will end mid-arc by design. Log emotional spoilers you care about, then step away. The Act Structure page exists so cliffhangers feel scheduled, not scammed. Pair that calm with Early Access Pricing so a later price step does not feel personal.

Shared household PCs

If multiple people share a machine, create separate Steam notes for formation experiments. Cross-link Party Formation and Demo Walkthrough so nobody helps by spending the gold buffer.

Final readiness score

Score yourself 0–10 across specs, combat verbs, hire discipline, and expectation control. Launch if you are at 7+. If not, spend one more demo evening—not doomscrolling trailers.

One more rehearsal night

If your readiness score is under seven, schedule a final demo night with a single goal: finish one forest loop without spending the entire gold buffer. Bring notes from Limb Targeting and Combat Basics. Stop when tired. Sleep beats a heroic wipe twelve hours before Early Access.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Do I need the demo before Early Access?

Strongly recommended. The demo teaches opening systems and reveals whether your PC is comfortable before you pay.

Will the price be lowest on day one?

Developers plan incremental increases toward 1.0. Day-one EA is typically the cheapest window—confirm live Steam pricing.

Is Act 1 the full game?

No. Act 1 is roughly a quarter of the world (Gloaming Isles). Later acts unlock during Early Access toward 1.0.
