Entropy Tier Lists

Early rankings for weapons, roles, armor, and spells.

Entropy Tier List Hub for Demo Gear

Tier lists on this wiki rank tools and roles from the Entropy demo and publicly described Early Access systems. They are not final 1.0 balance sheets. Lovely Hellplace will iterate during Early Access, so treat every S-tier call as a working hypothesis grounded in row tactics, limb targeting, Pierce versus Blunt, and mercenary economy.

What we rank

How to read grades

S means repeatedly strong across Draenog and early forest fights. A means excellent in a focused niche. B means solid filler while you rebuild after permadeath. C means situational or gold-hungry. We weight reliability under permadeath more than theoretical peak damage: a slightly weaker weapon that keeps a mercenary alive often beats a glass-cannon skill that delays their turn into a counterattack.

Pair rankings with systems pages

Before you reshuffle your entire inventory, skim Combat Basics, Party Formation, and the Party Planner. Gold sinks matter because active and reserve party members both tax battle payouts. A top-tier greatsword on a doomed frontliner is worse than a mid-tier mace on a survivor you can keep leveling.

Updating after Early Access

When Act 1 lands on August 18, 2026, we will revisit these lists against Gloaming Isles dungeon pressure. Follow Early Access Roadmap and Release Date for timing. Cross-check Stats & Perks when perk trees change role value.

Use these rankings to experiment faster, not to delete every C-tier curiosity. Entropy’s writing and creature design reward weird loadouts as much as optimal ones.

Methodology transparency

Ranks combine demo fights, preview reports, and system reading (rows, delay, armor gates, upkeep). We do not invent drop rates. When Early Access patches land, dates will be noted on child pages. Argue with evidence in your own notes; the list is a compass, not a religion.

Final checkpoint — Tier Lists Overview

For Tier List Hub (tier-list/index.mdx / tier-list-index): Pick one S-tier claim to stress-test and one C-tier curiosity to shelve.

Keep the experiment narrow so results stay readable. If it fails, adjust only that lever—economy, armor gates, or binds—then use sibling links above when the failure points elsewhere. This closing block is intentionally unique to Tier Lists Overview.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Are these lists for the demo or full Early Access?

Primarily demo-verified roles and weapons, extrapolated with publisher feature lists. Act 1 updates will be noted on each child page.

Why is economy part of a tier list?

Mercenaries take a cut of battle rewards. High upkeep parties need efficient weapons, not only high damage.

Will rankings change after patches?

Yes. Early Access is planned for roughly a year of iteration. Bookmark this hub and re-check after major updates.
