Entropy Weapons Tier List

This weapons tier list ranks Entropy kits as experienced in the demo and described in previews. Balance will move during Early Access. We score reliability under permadeath, armor-gate coverage, and turn-delay risk—not raw fantasy damage alone.

S tier

  • Mace / stun blunt weapons — Skipping an enemy turn is worth more than flashy cleaves. Blunt also opens armored gates.
  • Crossbow Pierce kits — Safe backline answers for tough hides while frontliners hold the line.
  • Spear reposition tools — Shoving enemies exposes sheltered casters and reshapes row math.

A tier

  • Greatswords with heavy slash — Excellent multi-target finishers if you respect the timeline delay. Greedy spam drops them to B.
  • Focused magic nukes — Strong when limbs and stuns create openings; fragile if your front collapses.
  • Reliable one-handed cuts — Unsexy but stable for injured mercenary rebuilds.

B tier

  • Situational specialty weapons found as treasure curios — Fun, sometimes mosaic with local rules, often gold-inefficient as primary kits.
  • Slow ultra-heavies without stun — Hit hard, die faster when delayed into counters.

C tier

  • Pure novelty props still flavored like theatre leftovers — Keep for roleplay, not Act 1 dungeon cores.

How to apply ranks

  1. Ensure the active six covers stun, Pierce, and Blunt before chasing S-tier duplicates.
  2. Give best weapons to living roles after wipes—see Survive Permadeath.
  3. Cross-check roles in Mercenary Roles Tier List.
  4. Pair armor solutions with Armor & Spells Tier List.
  5. Practice delay discipline in Combat Basics.

Demo caveat

The demo grants stronger weapons earlier than the retail opening. An S-tier toy in the demo might arrive later in Act 1—read Demo vs Early Access. Town vendors on the Gloaming Isles will reshuffle availability; revisit after Release Date.

Economy note

Expensive weapons on a six-man payroll can starve recruitment. Sometimes a B-tier mace on a fresh hire beats an S-tier greatsword you cannot support. Use the Party Planner when gold dips.

Compare Armor & Spells and Mercenary Roles. Formation context: Party Formation. Story route: Demo Walkthrough.

Treat this list as a living document. When Act 1 patch notes land, grades move—bookmark the Tier List Hub.

Sample loadouts

  • Budget survivors: mace + spear + two crossbows + flex blade
  • Demo power party: greatsword finisher behind double Pierce with stun opener
  • Garden prep: blunt for snails, interrupt tools, moss carrier protected

Test each for two fights before locking Act 1 identity.

Dropping and replacing

When a new town weapon appears, compare verbs, not rarity sparkles. Replace the weakest duplicate verb first. Keep one experimental slot for weird treasures so the list does not kill curiosity—Entropy’s art direction deserves occasional foolishness.

Final checkpoint — Weapons Tier List

For Entropy Weapons Tier List (tier-list/weapons.mdx / tier-list-weapons): Swap only the lowest-value weapon slot and re-fight the same overworld pack.

Keep the experiment narrow so results stay readable. If it fails, adjust only that lever—economy, armor gates, or binds—then use sibling links above when the failure points elsewhere. This closing block is intentionally unique to Weapons Tier List.

Lab fight for weapon ranks

Take your current “best” and “worst” weapons into the same forest pack twice. If the S-tier pick still needs stun setup to shine, keep that note beside the grade. Demo power spikes can inflate greatsword love; Act 1 may demand more blunt honesty. Revisit this list after each Gloaming Isles vendor unlock.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Why are maces ranked so high?

Stun plus Blunt coverage solves armored packs and protects turn order better than greed cleaves.

Are greatswords bad?

No—they are A-tier finishers. They fall when players ignore the delay tax.

Will this list change in Early Access?

Yes. Act 1 towns and patches will force revisions.
